Wasps coming to Coventry

Rugby Union is about to take Coventry by storm. One of the biggest and most historic names in the sport is taking up residence at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. Coventry Half Marathon Start 2014

More than 2,000 runners took to the streets of Coventry on Sunday March 23rd 2014, to take part in the city’s half marathon. They were sent on their way shortly after 9am by Coventry Lord Mayor Gary Crookes and John Dalziel of Free Radio. This video shows the all runners across the start line, so if you took part see if you can find yourself! Later, Aaron Scott, from Stamford, cross the line in first place in a time of 1.09.36. The new route included a loop of the city centre, a scenic rural section and a downhill stretch for the final stages and according to some runners a lot of hills!  Watch video >>

Hannah Cockcroft Sports Personality of the Year

Hannah Cockroft, the paralympian, world champion athlete and Coventry University journalism student, talks to Coventry TV about being shortlisted for the BBC's Sport Personality of the Year award. It is the first time a wheelchair athlete has been nominated for the final stages of the award in a non-paralympic year - one that has seen quite a change for Hannah. Bring the Sky Blues home, say fans

“Bring the Sky Blues home for Christmas” was the loud message from fans outside the Council House, on Tuesday 22nd October, as they handed in a new petition as part of their on going campaign to get Coventry City back to Coventry.
